How we review

Every tool on this site is assessed the same way, so our ratings mean something when you compare them. Here's exactly how we do it.

Our five scoring factors

We score each product out of 5 on five weighted factors. The weights reflect what matters most to an Indian CA practice — statutory compliance comes first.

FactorWeightWhat we look at
Compliance depth25%How well the tool handles India-specific statutory work — GST, income tax, TDS, ROC/MCA — including due-date tracking, portal integration and reconciliation.
Automation20%Recurring tasks, smart reminders, WhatsApp/email follow-ups and anything that removes manual coordination.
Ease of use20%How quickly a typical firm can onboard, set up clients and get the team productive — including UI clarity and mobile access.
Value for money20%Pricing relative to the features and firm size it serves, including free trials, hidden costs and per-user economics.
Support & security15%Onboarding, support responsiveness, data residency, encryption and access controls.

How we research

  • We use vendor documentation, live product pages and, where possible, hands-on trials and demos.
  • We cross-check pricing and features against independent listings (Capterra, SoftwareSuggest, Techjockey, G2) and record review counts — not just star averages — so you can judge reliability.
  • We note the date each fact was verified. Vendors change pricing and features often; when they do, we update the page and the "last updated" date.

Where review data is thin

Many Indian CA tools are young and have only a handful of third-party reviews. We say so plainly rather than presenting a small sample as a definitive rating. A "5.0 from 1 review" is not the same as a "4.5 from 200", and we won't pretend otherwise.
